Check out Peterhead Golf Club in Scotland - The 18th Oldest Golf Club in the world

Peterhead Golf Club - The 18th Oldest Golf Club in the World - Set among the dunes and across the Craigewan links the course is a classic example of Scottish seaside golf at it’s best – and the toughest!

Only one of the great courses available with Open Fairways. Happy Golfing!

Nestling in the dunes above the point where the River Ugie and the North Sea meet is Peterhead Golf Club, one of the finest links courses to be found in Scotland. The club, founded in 1841, is the 18th oldest in the world, while the course is an original links course which owes very little to man's handiwork; it is Mother Nature assisted by man that tests the golfing ability of every calibre of golfer from the high handicapper to the scratch man.

There is little protection from the North Sea breeze and some really daunting holes. The twelfth is a real par four and a half, stretching to 470 yards off the forward medal tees. This is golf as it was meant to be played and the beautiful views along the coastline complete a memorable golfing experience. The club enjoyed the distinction of hosting the Scottish Boys Championship in 2002 in recognition of its excellence.
