Clontarf Golf Club

Donnycarney House, Malahide Road, Dublin 3

The course is a pleasant, yet challenging, 18 hole parkland course with superbly manicured rolling fairways and a liberal sprinkling of fine old trees. It is virtually an oasis on the doorstep of the teeming metropolis. The speedy greens have attained a standard of excellence and discerning visitors regularly comment that they are amongst the best to be found around the country. Although a relatively short course, its narrow fairways and punitive rough calls for accuracy off the tee and will test the players golfing skill. Each hole presents its own challenge which can often catch the unwitting golfer off-guard.

The course is best known for its famous 12th hole (par 4, index 1), which was re-designed in 1998 by the late Tom Craddock. It is known locally as "The Quarry Hole" and has ruined many a good score card in its day. It is an inviting challenge to any keen golfer to make par at it.

Restrictions: Members must telephone in advance, all tee times are subject to availability. Play is available Tue - Fri, Sat and Sun strictly by arrangement. 25% offer based on 1-4 golfers.
