Situated half a mile from the sea, Donabate Golf Club was founded in 1925 and extended to 27 holes in 1996. The three nines consist of a mixture of old and new. All the greens are now sand based and have the reputation of being among the best in the country.
The course is set among mature trees with water coming into play on eight of the holes - although generally flat, it will test every standard of golfer. A new ultra modern clubhouse was opened in 2002 and provides all the facilities golfers would expect from a club of this stature. Renowned for its hospitality, Donabate will be enjoyed by all who visit there.
