Golf Club Lignano is considered to have one of the finest courses Italian golf courses, not just because of the natural and technical features of the course but also because of its geographical position. It is located at Lignano Pineta, a splendid resort in Friuli-Venezia Giulia on the Adriatic sea and is within easy reach of other places of great historical, artistic and cultural interest such as Venice, Triest, Cividale, Palmanova, Aquileia and Udine.
The course is suitable for national competitions, has 18 holes (par 72) and extends over 6,345 metres in green surroundings that are always perfect. The lakes, bunkers, waste areas and fairways make each hole attractively special and make for a varied and attractive game.
The course is demanding and technical for more skilled players but also caters for less expert players.
Golf Club Lignano is also the location of international competitions including the Italian Women’s Open 1993 and 1994, the PGA’s Trophy of Europe in 2008 and the Alps Tour Servizitalia Open in 2012 and 2015.
The club is large and cosy and offers its members and guests every comfort to relax after the 18 holes.
A large terrace overlooking the putting green and the eighteenth green is pleasantly used as an outer room of the restaurant and bar during the warmer months.
