Weston-super-Mare Golf Club

Uphill Road North , Weston-super-Mare BS23 4NQ

Weston-Super-Mare was laid out in 1892 by the famous architect of the time, Mr. Tom Dunne. The course was subsequently modernised in 1922 by Dr. Alistair Mackenzie, the great golf architect who helped Bobby Jones design the Augusta National. Situated at one end of Weston sea front between the beach and a main road, it affords magnificent views towards the Mendips and Exmoor. The course offers the golfer a blend of interesting par fours and inviting par threes. The feature hole is the 453 yard 15th, modelled on the world famous Road Hole at St. Andrews and a decent card is never secure until this late hurdle is safely overcome.
