Located on the northern outskirts of Dundee, the Ballumbie Castle golf development is already proving to be one of the best tests in the area. Opened in June 2000, this ancient 150 acre estate is embedded in the local folklore. Tales abound of marauding knights, drowned witches and heroic damsels - each of the 18 holes reflects its dubious history. The course is a mix of parkland and heathland and is not overly long at 6,127 yards.

However, several water hazards and tight fairways demand accuracy on this thinking man's course. The adjoining 22 bay covered driving range is one of the best in Scotland and coupled with the brand new balconied clubhouse at Ballumbie Castle, provides state of the art facilities for the visiting golfer. A short game area and putting green complete the picture.
