Chorlton-Cum-Hardy Golf Club

Barlow Hall, Barlow Hall Road, Chorlton-cum-Hardy M21 7JJ

Chorlton-cum-Hardy was founded in 1902 in the Mersey Valley, north of the River Mersey. There has been a hall on the site for over 800 years. St. Ambrose (Edward Barlow) was born at Barlow hall in 1585 and took the name Ambrose when he was ordained in 1617. He was executed for his faith in 1641 and canonised by Pope Paul VI in 1970. His ghost is said to haunt the upper floors of the hall to this day! In 1905 the members leased the historic Barlow Hall as their Clubhouse and opened the 18-hole course.

Set in the grounds of the Hall this challenging parkland winds its way down narrow fairways and around the banks of the Mersey. In such tranquil surroundings it is difficult to believe you are just 4 miles from Manchester city centre. At just below 6,000 yards, this Par 70 is a great test for any golfer.

Restrictions: Please telephone in advance to make a booking stating you an Open Fairways member, all tee times are subject to the club's availability.
