Cosby's mature parkland course offers a challenging round of golf to both the low handicap golfer and the more social player. As such it has attracted as some of the best golfers in the Midland region as members. The club celebrated its centenary in 1995 and has a continuing policy of upgrading the course. In 1997 a major investment was made on improving six greens, with Hawtree completely redesigning two of them. Then in autumn 2000, a completely new irrigation system was installed to provide a high standard of control to greens, tees and approaches. The course is a regular venue for prestigious fixtures, hosting the Leicestershire and Rutland Amateur Championship. Set in the heart of the Leicestershire hunting countryside, Cosby provides a genuine test of a golfers skill.
