Founded in 1891, the course is bordered by the picturesque Cave Hill on one side and Belfast Lough on the other.
Rising to over 1000 feet above sea level, Cave Hill makes a stunning backdrop to many of the holes. The course was expanded to 18 holes in 1923 when Sir Harold Gray secured land to the north side of Gray's Lane resulting in 9 holes on each side of the lane.
However the holes on the north side were found to be too cramped and CW (Charlie Pope), the Club's Pro in 1904 redesigned the course with 11 holes on the south side and 7 on the north and this is essentially the course played today.
Restrictions: No play on Sat, Sun & Wed. Contact club in advance to make a booking, all tee times are subject to availability.
