The Frassanelle Golf Club, an 18-hole golf course set in a lovely century-old park, was designed by Marco Croze, a senior member of the European Institute of Golf Course Architects. An integral part of a wider property belonging to the noble family of Papafava, the course is located within the protected area called “Euganean Hills Regional Park”, created in 1989 to safeguard the naturalistic, historical and environmental features of the place. Animal and plant species can live there in a perfect, protected environment.
Given its challenging technical features, the course was chosen to host the 1992 Women Italian Open.
The notable 150 meter, Par 3 15th hole is situated in the proximity of a large lake framed by majestic trees.
The club house is hosted in a 17th century restored country house, furnished in a style that brings to mind an English golf club.
