Located in the stunning setting of the La Mandria Natural Park, at the foot of the Alps, Royal Park I Roveri is one of the most prestigious clubs in Italy, scene of several international events
Designed in 2006, the second course of Royal Park bears the signature of architect Michael Hurdzan, father of some of the best courses in North America and international speaker on the subject of the environmental impact of golf. The collaboration was with a woman: Dana Fry. This was the first time she had ever designed a course in Europe, and she brought her philosophy to bear in harmonising the unspoilt natural landscape with the course.
The club was then transformed into a 36-hole golf club.
The design intent was not to match the more mature Allianz Course by Trent Jones Sr. but rather complement it through a relatively flat open course where the constructed ponds and bunkering are used as principle hazards
As of January 2019, completing the development projects is the Edoardo Molinari Golf Academy, named after the professionale player of the European Tour. Together with his brother Francesco, Edoardo was the winner of the Omega Mission Hills World Cup in 2009 and the Ryder Cup in 2010.
