Situated on the Solway Firth Maryport Golf Club represents a unique golfing experience in Cumbria. Visitors can enjoy a round of golf that is part traditional links and part parkland whilst enjoying views of Criffel and South Scotland. The layout itself is fairly flat, with a good standard of both green and fairway. On a good day with light winds the course is a reasonable test of golf, on a windy day it can be decidedly unfriendly; the golfer will have to hit the ball straight to return a good card.
