Castlebar Golf Club has recently completed a magnificent redevelopment that has brought this 18 hole layout up to the benchmark USGA standard. The end product is truly spectacular and now provides the West of Ireland with another golfing gem, one which Peter McEvoy (architect) and the members feel is "second to none" in Connacht. The new layout provides a unique challenge to every calibre of golfer. The expertly shaped tees and greens provide a most fitting compliment to the mature tree-lined fairways of the 90 year old site on which the course has been constructed. The inclusion of three new water hazards and 40 new bunkers has created a formula which is sure to provide all who visit the course with a memorable golfing experience.
