Founded in 1885, Falkirk Tryst Golf Club is sited on land in the village of Stenhousemuir, three miles north of the town of Falkirk which, in the late eighteenth and early nineteenth centuries, accommodated the great cattle markets or ÔtrystsÔ of Scotland, from which the club takes its name.
Although situated inland, the course essentially links, as opposed to parkland in character. This is due to it being laid out on sandy soil and the course has been described by the Hon Professional to the R&A, John Panton, as one of the best all year round courses in the area. Furthermore, it is a layout which provides the opportunity to play every kind of golf shot.
Restrictions: Play available on Saturday and Sunday unless they have a competition. Must contact club in advance to make a booking, all tee times are subject to availability.
