Okehampton Golf Club was formed in 1913 and was described as “The jewel in the heart of Devon”. Built into an ancient deer park, with mature oak woodlands and the West Okement river running along its northern border, this truly is a magnificent setting in which to play golf. Deer can still be seen in the early morning or at dusk grazing their way across the course. Greens that are fast and true with slopes and hollows that test the putting skills, fairways and tees immaculately cut and trimmed to give the perfect lie and stance. We pride ourselves at Okehampton Golf Club in being one of the friendliest clubs in Devon and we welcome the opportunity to share our facilities with golfers from around the country.

A major enhancement took place in 2007 with a total re-build of our changing and shower room facilities which have been finished to a very high standard. This new building now incorporates one of the finest Professional Golf Shops in the south of England. Our Clubhouse still retains its unique charm where you can relax with a drink and enjoy the fabulous views of the course and surrounding countryside. A good selection of food is served daily. We now have a limited amount of two-seater buggies available to hire.
