Lyme Regis golf course hosts county, regional and national championships, the 18 hole par 71 course occupies a cliff top site with coastal views towards Portland Bill and overlooks the Historical town and World Heritage Site of Lyme Regis, It is a challenging test, with a sea breeze, ideal for all abilities.
Founded in 1893, Lyme Regis Golf Club boasts one of the finest courses in the South West region. The eighteen holes here are situated on a cliff top and the nature of the terrain is parkland. The coastal views are quite stunning as far as Portland Bill and overlooking the town and harbour at Lyme Regis.
The condition of the course is the source of constant praise from visiting golfers and is to the credit of the team of expert and dedicated greens staff. Owing to an on-going battle with coastal erosion the course has been the subject of several changes in design. The Committee constantly keeps the course design under review and is dedicated to maintaining Lyme Regis as one of the premier golfing facilities in the area. There is a new driving range and separate chipping area as well as a practice bunker close to the first tee.
