If visiting Wales in 2018, why not check out the beautiful Tenby Golf Club in Pembrokeshire
20 June 2018
Tenby Golf Club is one of the true gems of Wales’ idyllic south-west coast. Set among a patchwork of rolling green terrain and wild dunes, Tenby boasts a classic 18-hole links course and a variety of challenges which will test golfers at every level.
Tenby Golf Club was formed in 1888, and is a founder member of the Welsh Golfing Union. A classic links course measuring 6,337 yards of the championship tees, it has hosted many international championships for men and ladies.
Whilst it is considered short by modern standards the narrow sloping fairways together with blind tee shots, second shots to sloping fast greens and punishing rough easily compensate for this.
If one can find the time, the views to the monastic island of Caldey and the distant Gower peninsula will more than compensate if the golf is not up to scratch.
