With Open Fairways you've always got great courses to play, such as Wernddu Golf Club in Wales
14 November 2018
Wernddu Golf Club is set in one of the most picturesque positions of Abergavenny with views of the Black mountains and Usk valley at every angle. It is a family business run by three generations of the Watkin's family...
Wernddu Golf Club is situated only one mile from the historic town of Abergavenny and adjacent to the Brecon Beacons National Park. Within the immediate vicinity of the club are the Castle Museum, the 12th century Priory Church, Big Pit Mining Museum and many scenic walks and drives. The golf course, which overlooks Abergavenny and the Usk Valley, offers exceptional views and a varied and enjoyable challenge. The course divides distinctly into a much longer front nine and a shorter, challenging back nine, while water comes into play on four holes. The off course facilities include a 20 bay Driving Range, a nine hole Pitch & Putt Course and a friendly, well-equipped and welcoming clubhouse.
