UNA Poggio dei Medici Golf Club, located in Scarperia in Mugello, already winner of many awards, among which the "Condé Nast Traveler" as "Best Golf Club" - and home to numerous international professional competitions, has won two major awards within the "World Golf Awards" as "Italy's Best Golf Course 2017" and as "Italy's Best Golf Hotel 2017".
Both can be enjoyed at the acclaimed Poggio dei Medici Golf and Country Club, set in the green Mugello valley and sheltered by Apennines, home of the Ladies Italian Open from 1999 to 2003 and of the European Challenge Tour from 2010.
Opened in 1992 to USGA standards, the Course designed by Italian atrchitect Alvise Rossi Fioravanti and by professional player Baldovino Dassu allows for five different playing routes within its 18 holes par 72 and a championship course of 6,452 metres.
The course was immediately recognised as "The best new golf course" in Italy, and was awarded by Conde Nast Traveller for it's "Hot List" as "The best Golf Club"
As you play this fascinating course, you can also appreciate the typical Tuscan scenery, viewed from a vanage point near Scarperia. You will find yourself on a world-class Golf Course deep in the countryside, only 30km from the centre of Florence.
